Mixing in controlled atmosphere using glove box/isolator (+ve or -ve pressure)

Blending hazardous and potent substances is a major operational concern for chemical and pharmaceutical applications. The toxicity levels of some of the drugs can cause serious operator injury and/or fatality if the substance exposure is not handled correctly.

Having the demand and access to better manufacturing and research infrastructure, a lot of today’s research and development work is carried out in controlled environments and we have extensive experience in supplying blenders for use within isolators and glove boxes. Be it a negative pressure or positive pressure.

We offer Alphie mixers for use in such containment isolator atmospheres. The drum part of the blender is inserted inside the isolator chamber; while the drive, coupling and electric motor unit are kept outside. The through-chamber design construction is utilised with modular units. This reduces particle contamination possibilities and offers the advantage of easier maintenance of main drive units.

Suitable sealing arrangement is provided – conventional mechanical seal or hermetic seals are used depending upon the application. Contact us for more details.
